About Me
My name is Alex, and I created The Firearm Finder to share my great enthusiasm and knowledge for my hobby with anyone interested in firearms, new or seasoned. I first picked up a firearm in the Boy Scouts, and that sparked a life of an avid shooter and collector of firearms!
My Objective
The goal of The Firearm Finder is to assist anyone and everyone in gaining access to the firearm world by providing friendly and effective service and expertise. I especially want to use this expertise to help those that are new to this space have a friend and guide in the process start to finish so that they can confidently enter the firearm world with a trusted resource and enjoy this fun and engaging sport.
Services Offered
FFL Transfers
The cornerstone of The Firearm Finder. In the US, only Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs) may receive firearms for sale to the public - they cannot be shipped to unlicensed individuals!
I have my FFL - and I am happy to receive firearms and complete the transaction with you while ensuring full compliance with relevant state and federal requirements.
If it's your first purchase, congratulations! I specialize in guiding new purchasers into this market, so I will happily be your educational resource along every step of the way. There are no dumb questions in this process, so ask away!
FFL Transfer Fee, Single Item - $50
Additional Items in Same Transfer - $10/item
*50% discount on fee if two transfers are done within 7 days!
Please be aware that per Colorado law, each transfer will also incur the required Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check fee of $15.00. Only one background check fee is required per transfer, regardless of the quantity of items in the transfer.
If interested in engaging me for a transfer, I ask that, if possible, that you give me a call or email before ordering the item so that I can ensure a smooth shipping and receiving process. Once the item arrives, I will coordinate with you to schedule an appointment to start the process!
Please note that in Colorado, there is a mandatory three day waiting period between the approval of the background check and the actual transfer of the firearm. We will coordinate this as a part of the transfer
Currently, I do not process NFA (Class III) transfers, but stay tuned! I am still happy to answer all your questions pertaining NFA items as I have robust experience with the required paperwork and process.
Direct Firearm Purchases
I can also order firearms directly for you! I can usually do a little better than most gun shops as I can offer a single bundled price that includes all taxes and fees. Most gun shops will charge you for the gun, and then for the transfer, taxes, and more. At The Firearm Finder, one gun, one price!
